TAKS Torture

Today was/is the writing TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills)test. Better known as the most boring-est day of the year (along with the other TAKS testing days).
All you get to do is sit around after you finish, except for this year we get to visit the few websites that we aren't banned....
and I forgot my book.
Oh well.
Well, it won't be for TOOOO much longer.....

Sunday, 2/24/08

Today will be a pretty busy day.

Our second-to-last meeting before the tournament is today, and we will be there forEVER.

But it will be fun!

The competition is Saturday march first, and we only have next Friday and today to practice!!!

EEEEEK!!!

But I think we will do great...

Our challenge is "CHORE-iffic!".

In this we have to choose 12 people out of 24 to research.

We researched those all last week, so that is out of the way.

To actually do this challenge, we get thirty minutes of planning time.

When we get into the "studio" the judges give us a chore, and an obstacle (these are not real, just written on a piece of paper) and we make a skit incorporating those elements and props and costumes. When we are about to perform, they give us the famous person, and we have a minute to incorporate them into our skit. In the middle of the play, after we solve the first obstacle, we have to pick up the second obstacle and just improv it....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!

But it is SOOO MUCH fun!!!!

Hole to China

HOLES TO CHINA ARE THE BOMB!!!!!!!!

We have decided to dig a hole to China, and it will pass (possibly) through the mantle, the liquid iron core, and possibly even.... THE SOLID IRON CORE!!!!!!!

I just had to look those up so I could sound extremelllllly smarticle.....

and if anyone wants a souvenir (i.e. a panda) just tell us, and we will add it onto our long list of admirers clamoring for a panda.....
